A Portfolio and blog for Mustafa Kurtuldu

Hi there 👋, I am Mustafa Kurtuldu, a Staff Product Designer focused on Design Systems and developing tooling. This is my portfolio and blog site showcasing my commercial and non-commercial work.

I have over twenty years of experience working as a Product Designer across multiple sectors & organizations, including Meta, Twitter, Google, Macmillan Publishing, Bazaarvoice, Times London, BBC/Arts Council of England & Middlesex University.

I regularly speak at conferences, run design thinking workshops, produce video youtube shows and podcasts, and write books and articles about design best practices, hacking user perception, progressive web apps, and design sprints.

Community work

I use media/design/art to help hard-to-reach groups such as young people, the homeless and those with mental health difficulties. For example, I set up a social enterprise, Social Spider, which continues to incubate community projects. I was also involved in the Russell Commission, a youth volunteering initiative that led to the setting up the charity V.

Aside from all of the above, I like to create artwork in my spare time, and some of my screenprints and photography have been at White Chapel Gallery and the Suresnes Salle des Fetes, France.
